About the artist:
Duaa Deisi is a Palestinian who lived half of her life in Jordan and currently resides in the United States. She sees art as a way of expressing herself, a way of translating her thoughts and feelings onto the canvas. While she never studied art, she has had she had an eye for art since she was a child – whether a painting of a waning gibbous moon, a song that she used to listen to in the car with her grandpa, or a poem that her grandma liked. Surrounded by the streets of Jordan, the Palestinian struggle, and the Arabian visuals, Duaa grew up feeling very connected and driven by her Arabian roots. She gets inspired by the beauty of nature, the mystery of outer space, the moon and the nebulas, and the raw surreal human thoughts.
